The wine shows a lovely bouquet with perfumed red cherries, violets and wild strawberry scents. The palate gently grips on the entry with quite thick tannins, lending this Irancy weight and presence. The finish tends towards more black fruits and white pepper flavours.
Traces of the domaine can be found back in the 14th century in the village of Saint-Brie le Vineux - in the septentrional Burgundy - close to Chablis. Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues took over the family estate in 1979 and already had the intention to work in the greatest respect of the environment. Although the started working following organic practices almost since the beginning they only requested the certification years later. Hence, the domaine is certified organic since 2001 and biodynamic since 2005. Thanks to their hard work over the years, they are now producing wines of outstanding quality on the lesser-know appellation they're working.
