This wine is produced in the Rhone Valley region, from the Cote-Rotie Appellation. De-stemmed grapes. Natural yeast fermentation in fibreglass tanks followed by maceration at 30-32 degrees. Aged for 12 to 15 months in mostly new oak barrels.Dark cherry colour robe, strong nose earthy, spicy and on dark fruits. This full-bodied wine's palate is intense with forest floor, pepper and mulberry notes.
Aurelien Chatagnier is known as one of the best young winemakers in the Rhone Valley region. He's crafting very pure and lean wines from organically farmed vineyards. A producer who deserves all our attention.
