This Chateauneuf du Pape is mainly made with grenache grown on very old vines. It has an extreme drinkability. The nose displays raspberry, kirsch and dark berries aromas. The palate is relatively strutured with a medium to full bodied mouthfeel. The fruitiness is ripe andthe mineral finish is mouth watering.
Stanislas Wallut started his domaine in 1995 when he left his Parisian life. He farms 8 hectares bought in a very bad condition from the previous owner and built his own cellar in order to work with gravity. the vines grow across three soil types: sand, clay and limestone; gravel; and soil containing “galets”. They are farmed biodynamically and lands are ploughed by horse since the very beginning.
