Its bouquet is well balanced with rich aromas of black fruits and flower scents. Its texture is velvety with hints of musky notes.
This small domaine is working on some of the best terroirs of the Cote de Beaune with some very high quality rootstock. Their plot of Pommard Premier Cru la Platière has for example been planted in 1936 and they also own the smallest monopole Premier Cru in Pommard with their Clos Derrière Saint Jean. Thierry is a passionate man and is engaged in sustainable winemaking. The vineyard is under organic management since 1999 and the vinification is truly traditional and respectful of the terroir.
