This is a blend of 40% merlot, 40% syrah and 20% caladoc. The nose is greedy and offers crunchy red fruits aromas supported with fresh herbal hints. The palate is very juicy. It is all about fresh red fruits and a mouth watering finish.


In 1960’s Antonin Faravel started to form his vineyard by planting vines on the stone cliffs of the Dentelles de Montmirail. He knew that the cooler temperatures and rocky soils would produce perfectly ripe grapes, with better acidic balance and lower alcohol, too. While other winemakers quickly followed Antonin’s lead, Domaine la Bouïssiere without question is the original, high-altitude Gigondas. Nowadays the domaine is run by his children (Thierry and Giles) who are still farming one of the highest vineyards in the appellation.
