Our Specialists’ Opinion

Grown on the slopes of the Alpilles, a small and limestony mountain south of Avignon, this rosé is the perfect combination between a light and easy drinking style and a more serious and gastronomic kind of rosé. In other words, a rosé to please everyone.

Background

Originally, Chateau Romanin’s vineyards produced mainly red wines. Since the arrival of Anne-Marie and Jean-Louis Charmolüe, the split between red, white and rosé has been rebalanced with a particular focus on the red and white Grands Vins”. In order to produce the finest quality wines, some vines were grubbed up while others were planted and carefully tended. Today the Domaine produces 45% red wines, 40% rosés and 15% whites.
