Cote de Brouilly Les Sept Vignes Chateau Thivin 2018

$205

Background

Built in the 15th century, Chateau Thivin is the oldest property on the Mont Brouilly. In 1877, Zaccharie Geoffray purchased the estate with 2 hectares of lands. Since, then the Geoffray family extended the domaine and increased the quality of the production. Today, Claude Geoffray and his son are the 5th and 6th generation to run the family estate and they brought it to the very top of the Côte de Brouilly appellation.

Our Specialists’ Opinion

A blend of fruit from seven separate parcels around the Côte de Brouilly. There are hints of black pepper and liquorice on the nose, while the palate is characterised by grippy tannins, cool red fruit flavours and fresh acidity
