This one-hectare site faces south/southeast, and the soils are almost pure limestone, which lends this cuvee its cooler, crunchier, mineral personality. Complex aromas of, spices, as well as very ripe fruit. It has a powerful and elegant mouthfeel with width that reveals its generosity and complexity.
Traces of the domaine can be found back in the 14th century in the village of Saint-Brie le Vineux - in the septentrional Burgundy - close to Chablis. Ghislaine and Jean-Hugues took over the family estate in 1979 and already had the intention to work in the greatest respect of the environment. Although the started working following organic practices almost since the beginning they only requested the certification years later. Hence, the domaine is certified organic since 2001 and biodynamic since 2005. Thanks to their hard work over the years, they are now producing wines of outstanding quality on the lesser-know appellation they're working.
